The Bead Muse - About Us
The Bead Muse was formed slowly, in 2010, and we became an official business in Texas in January of 2011. We are comprised of a husband and wife team, JohnDavid and Califia. We have a baby girl named Evie, 3 parrots, a dog, and a catfish. 4 of those 5 animals were adopted or rescued.
We love to create together, and often discuss our next big project.
We share a love for creatures, books, movies, the TV show Primeval, and many other things, too many to list!

Handmade polymer clay beads
anodized aluminum
natural and dyed hemp twine
natural stone
"upcycled" vintage pieces

Inspiration isn't hard to find when you walk outside. We both find inspiration in odd places, and when the Muse calls, we follow.
Design usually starts with a single element. We simply love working with color, and we prefer to make elegant, simple jewelry, that is beautiful and doesn't overtake the wearer. Our designs can be elegant, beautiful, bold, flirty, fun, eclectic, whimsical, or silly. If you ask, we will do our best to create something inspired by you, for you, and we will do it with pride!
